Microfinance

Microfinance provides people with small loans to start businesses and build savings in order to break the vicious cycle of poverty. For families living on less than one dollar per day, microfinance is an opportunity to obtain a sustainable source of income and shift from living vulnerably on a day-to-day basis to planning for the future.

This increased financial stability means that families can make greater investments in children’s education, healthcare, and nutrition to ensure a higher standard of living for the next generation.

One World Children’s Fund works with several organizations which provide microfinance services to poor women who are more likely to invest in household goods and ultimately improve the lives of their children too.
